About Hospital Beds

There are no shortcuts to a premium hospital bed. It has to be safe – for patients as well as medical staff – and it has to be functional. Our hospital beds are electric and height adjustable, so patients can sit up or lie down, and raise or lower their legs. A good Profiling beds can make what is often an arduous stay in hospital as comfortable as it can be.

Our low height hospital bed, the Mac-1, features electric Hi-Lo adjustment, an electric backrest, toe brake total lock castors, drop in headboard and powder-coated surfaces for infection control and easy cleaning. It rises straight, so there’s no damage to walls from horizontal lifting.

Our Mac-2 floor level beds, as its name implies, has the great advantage of being able to be lowered to an ultra low height of 11cm. This hospital bed is a very practical alternative to beds with safety side rails, which are increasingly being discouraged. Using the Mac-2 hospital bed means your patient faces a much lower risk of injury due to falling from bed.

Another advantage of the Mac-2 hospital bed, and something that no other floor level bed can offer, is an auto-retractive backrest. As the backrest is raised from the horizontal to the vertical, the lower edge of the panel moves away from the occupant towards the head of the bed. This acts to relieve pressure on the lumbar region and lessens the risk of associated lower back pain, which is an extremely common complaint. It also provides more leg room when the patient is sitting up, which is more accommodating for taller patients.
